Using NT 14.07 and C 11.0.136
Still trying to track down the problem with saving webcam pictures in NT14.
From debug view - this seems to be the source of the error: it looks like ...camera__value is not a good file name

I went back and this worked perfectly well in nt11.57. It was when I moved to NT14 that the saving picture went rogue!

I have put together a 7zip file of my webcam79 folder and attached it. This is a show stopper for me so I need to get it going.
After I get it going, I am going to want to save the picture in a BLoB(Binary) and serve it from the BLOB.

I thought it was a NT14.04 issue but it persists in 14.06. It looks like I have corrupted something in the javascript or somewhere else along the way.
Webcam example 79 - right out of the box - NO BLOB says that the

Hi,
Still cannot get Webcam to save picture correctly. C11.0.136 and NT14.06.
Webcam Demo Example 79 does not work correctly. My problem is in saving the picture and then re-displaying it.
Out of the box, example 79 seems to be trying to save a Binary string to DisplayPhoto name and NOT the assigned name of the file which was uploaded.
I modified the Settings dictionary and added a blob field(binary). I tried to save the webcam picture to the binary blob. Nothing saved.
So questions:
1. Can I save the picture name to MAI:MailBoxPicture AND a BLOB(Binary) field at the same time? OR is it 1 or the other?
2. If I want to save it into a BLOB, how do I set up the fields to display from the BLOB and not a saved file name?

Hi Bruce,
You mentioned that a Mobile APP ( PWA ) would run clarion code if it was connected all the time. I am making a PWA which will run ONLY if connected.
1. Do I need a sync server in that case - seems like I wouldn't?
2. The PWA would run only if connected - therefore it seems logical to test for connection and run if there is one. If no connection, display a message that the app will run only when connected to the internet.
Can you help with information to sort this out please.

This appears to be a bug. I ran Example 70- Webcam on my laptop in NT11 and it worked correctly with a file name in the field for the file name. I upgraded it to NT 14.04 and it worked incorrectly - just as outlined above.

I went back and checked the code to see if there were any references to blob in the code and there were none remaining.
I am trying to trace this down and it looks like the routine - SaveFile::MAI:MailBoxPicture Routine - is NOT getting called. That is where the name of the picture file would be saved.
I have attached an image of my webcam settings. Are there others that I don't know about or did the blob trial I created gum up the code?

I have Self Service and it was added to the Apps automagically. As soon as you mentioned that, it rang a bell and I knew where to fix it. Self Service has those names. I edited Self Service and now all is OK>

Hi,
I have a Web App running on port 88.
I tried to run a second (different app) on port 90. Got this error: "Warning <Display Name> cannot load as another instance is already running."
I remember this from long ago. The DISPLAY FIELD name has to be different.
BUT where Do I find the NAME field for this.

Nice Trick. I have learned some new magic today! This css and javascript is still confusing. Didn't know about the server settings XML file. Deleting the old one did the trick.
