Hi All,

Bruce demonstrated an app that had icons on the menu. Does anyone know where to get such icons or images?
 
Bruce could you tell me what icons you were using, like them and would be nice on our sites.

BTW all of the files are in the correct folder and my redirection file is pointing to those folders also.

Web Server - Ask For Help / Web Services and large reports

Hi All,

I have a report exe that is called by a NT Web Services app. These reports can be quite large, 5000 pages plus in a pdf. Currently the web service goes into a loop until the pdf is available, this is fine for small reports. I am worried when a large report needs to be generated the server will time out.

Questions:
1.) Will the web service time out before the report is completed?
2.) Should I create a webservice that fetches the file once completed?

Hi Bruce,

Would you add a "Disable If" condition to those type buttons just like you have in an "Other" button?

Reason:
When a flag is set on the form and is saved a process has to complete. They should not be able to press the edit button at that point.

Web Server - Ask For Help / Save Form after priming fields

Hi All,

I have a parent form that is primed with required fields and would like to save it when entering the form.

From the parent form a button calls the child form and the user fills the child form and returns back to the parent.

I read on this forum that there is a setting on the form that allows one to do this but cannot find it.

Web Server - Ask For Help / Progress Bar not seeming to work the same.

Hi All,

I have a report that is called from a webform start button with a progress bar.

I see the report generating the pdf(25 pages) but the progress control has already disappeared without the link.
It does 1 and 2 page pdfs correctly but not larger reports 3 or above.

Looks like a timing issue where the report now returns to the form before the pdf is generated completely.
Anyone else seeing this?

Web Server - Ask For Help / Running a Procedure when adding a new record

I would like to run a procedure that would generate a pdf report before the user presses the save button
so I can display a progress bar when generating the report. Here is the catch I need the data from the form to
produce the report.

Can one save the insert record to the table, then generate the report and then a button to close the form or
is there a better way to do this?

I have a date field as the only sort field on a browse and have the "Default to Descending" ticked on.

When returning from adding a new record the sort is not obeyed ie. I want the browse to show the
newly added record as the first record in the browse. How can this be obtained.

Let's say a user has a browse open and typed something into the locator/search field and now displays the data they wanted to see.
They then open the same browse from the menu and want to search for something else, but the locator has the last browses search terms in it.
What I would like to have happen is the browse's locator field is cleared.

So how could this be done?

Hi Bruce,

The Rediect does not always work correctly when called.

I am using the below code in the WebHandler - ParseRequstHeader Procedure

IF SELF.XForwardedProto = ': http' THEN
  SELF.Redirect('https://www.trackcustommail.com',Net:Web:ToSecure,Net:Web:Repost,Net:Web:PermRedirect)
  RETURN NET:NOTOK
END

It is not returning the redirect to the correct caller. I have the info from WireShark and will supply it if necessary.

Web Server - Ask For Help / How to get he UserAgent in WebServer proc

How can I get the UserAgent info in The WebServer procedure?

We are using AWS ELB and it sends a request every 2 seconds so I cannot do a prop:disconnect for my table if there is no activity.
