exchange messages by published web services

Hi,

I need to implement a message exchange process that involves creating and consuming web services.  The messages will be in xml format. We are getting more and more requests for such interfaces. We want to see if we can do this Clarion. The effort learning java and deploying and supporting web server software at all sites is something we would like to avoid if possible.

I would like to build the clents and server with nettalk. Has anyone got any experiance with building web service interfaces using nettalk?

Hi John,

Yes, it's fairly straight-forward to do this using a combination of NetTalk and xFiles.
In practice, it's a lot easier than you might think to pull this off.

There are a number of SOAP server, and client, examples in both NetTalk and xFiles.
Once you get the hang of this it's remarkably easy to do - so certainly not worth learning a whole other language for.
