Hi,
I have a net server browse displaying records, on a Timer refresh.
I need to have the display from File as the latest record must be at the top
The unique key is date time both descending
How can I limit the number of records displaying please?
If I set to page load the latest record is not at the top
thanks
Richard

Hi Richard,
I feel like I'm not understanding your question correctly - but -
The number of rows on a Browse is set on the Options tab for the Browse. The default is 10 lines...
If this isn't what you are chasing please let me know.
cheers

Hi Bruce,
I want my browse to populate with the most recent record always visible at the top of the browse with earlier records below it ...and I want to limit the number of record rows displaying.......
This works with File loaded browses but there does not seem to be any control on the number of records visible so the browse gets bigger ie longer....
However, if Page loaded is selected, then the number of records are controlled to the preset number, and the sort works UNTIL the number of records posted exceeds the browse max number setting.
THEN subsequent records do not display from the top down but are only accessible using the FIRST NEXT LAST Buttons.
This is despite the sorting done on the Sort of the field.
So is there a work around for this please Bruce so that once the max number has been reached then subsequent records still are on top with earlier ones dropping off but still accessible from First Last buttons?
many thanks
Regards
Richard

ahh, I understand.
So you have a browse, sorted with most recent entry at the top.
The browse is being refreshed on a timer.
But you want it to refresh to "first page" not "current position".
Right?
there's a setting for that right underneath the timer setting.
(see attached pic)
