Title: Export to Excel and Error
Post by: Edwin Hannan on March 27, 2016, 02:57:40 PM
Hello

The export to Excel does not appear to work for approx 2100 rows in a browse (filtered on Lead Source) but ok with 500 or less for other Lead Sources?

Is there a max limit setting somewhere?

Please advise

Many thanks

Is the browser timing out before it can serve up the file?

I'm not aware of a limit, but if you can send me an example I would be happy to take a look.

Cheers

Hello

I have found the cause of my issue, the value of 16E in the string Address1, why this should be so is not clear to me.

Chnaging to 16 or 16 E is ok also and I get a successful export xml and opening in Excel

I have other records with a value for Address1 =  97a and this has not caused any export issues.

NOTE: if I amend back to 16E for yhis record then I cannot export to Excel, error ‘Bad Value’ occurs’ ??

I have uploaded a document detailing my testing

Can anyone throw any light on what is going on here?

Many thanks

It might be some sort of mathematical notation (exponential?) although I typed it into Excel and it accepted the value. You probably need to nominate the field as Text or add '<39>' before the value. So any number followed by E will probably fail.
