Title: SSL connection error
Post by: markster on November 25, 2014, 02:36:53 PM
Out of the blue, none of my browsers will connect with any NetTalk SSL app on my system. I've tried various programs that I've been working on. The enclosed png is the result of compiling the stock example file Web8 (Mixed SSL). The program runs and the NetTalk Web Server windows displays as normal, but when I try to connect in my browser, I get the error shown on the png.

Regards,

Mark

Update: I discovered that when I have Skype loaded, it disables access to my SSL apps >:( As soon as I quit Skype, everything is normal.

Hi Mark,

Been there!
Skype uses port 443. Since I discovered that a while back I always test SSL-apps using port 444 (just like we're using 88 for regular HTML access). That way you can Skype and test your app at the same time  ;)

Peter

Correction: "regular HTML access" should read "regular HTTP access" of course.
