Title: Maybe a silly request but....
Post by: broche on September 14, 2014, 10:41:49 AM
Is there any way for the web app to send a pulse to a single monitoring IP - So that if the web server does not send the pulse for x seconds the listening app would send an alert of some sort?

The reason for the request is that I have customers that have installed the app on their cloud servers and I would like them or me to know that the app is not operating at least at the same time their users get an unresponsive application.

Brian.

Hi Brian,

if you have capesoft selfservice it includes an example app called connection checker that will do that and also restart your app for you as well.
