Title: Compile errors
Post by: bramkip on October 16, 2012, 10:37:13 AM
Hi,

After updating to NT 6.46 and SelfService 3.36 I become compile errors:

TPL: (cape01.tpw) Error: variable %EmbedTreeName is not defined
TPL: (cape01.tpw) Error: variable %EmbedName is not defined

How can I solve this?

Regards,
Bram

You might want to take a look at your other site. http://clarion.capesoft.com/Entries?Topic=FOOLCCXX

I have reported the SeflService example apps do not work and I cant get SelfService to work with GPFreporter reported a month ago http://clarion.capesoft.com/Entries?Topic=NWOKSLKL .

Ideally I would love to do Nettalk, with SelfService & GPFReporter then I can see whats hanging and GPFing in my apps, but the addons dont work together and I dont want to be paying for NT7 next month just to get them working.

hi Bram,

I've not seen that error - but when I have seen strangish errors like I find that sometimes restarting the IDE will help. I'm on a later (private) build of the IDE, and it seems ok there - hopefully there'll be a public update for the IDE soon. Let me know if the problem persists though. Oh, and get the 3.37 build of SelfService anyway - you'll need that.

Cheers

hi Richard,

grab the 3.37 build of Selfservice. That will hopefully sort out the SelfService issues. I'm using SS with GPF Reporter here in all my apps, and I haven't managed yet to duplicate your problem, but the SS update may help.

If the service manager is unable to start the service, then check out the FAQ for possible reasons.

Also - are you compiling in Local mode or DLL mode?

that seems unlikely given that NetTalk is separate from both SelfService and GPF Reporter. On the other hand there will be a bunch of things in the NT7 release that you may well want, so start saving the pennies for the upgrade.

cheers

I was having issues with the 3.37 build of SelfService.  Seems it and Lansrad's ProPath2 did not get along.

Build 3.37 fixed it.
