Title: Rackspace and SendGrid
Post by: John Fligg on March 12, 2012, 07:24:30 AM
I had an issue sending email via my app but this morning signed up to SendGrid and configured a Bronze account.

I installed IIS onto the Rackspace server (I had previously taken it off) and installed and configured Postfix.

Email is now working perfectly UNLESS you add an attachment.

Rackspace refuse to help as I do not have a managed account and SendGrid tell me it is up to Rackspace. Wonderful!

Has anyone configured Sendgrid ona  Rackspace server/Postifix to work with attachments?

Thanks

John

It turned out, yet again to be IE9. I think IE9 causes so many problems these days it is time to ditch it!

IE9 seems to be working perfectly for ALL my NT WebServer customers though John.

Not here and not with Rackspace or SendGrid support. They both say IE9 is a problem sending attachments.

Rackspace checked things out and apparently when sending an attachment, the email loses the header. This web browser specific.

So are you sure they are sending attachments?

No idea Bruce. That's what Rackspace told me. That the email was going via the Browser to get to SendGrid and IE9 was stripping out the header. beats me!
