Title: Secwin Integration?
Post by: John Fligg on December 02, 2011, 01:02:30 PM
Is there any estimated date when Secwin will be integrated with NT6?

I do not really want to design login screens when Secwin clearly does so much more but also have some timescales to deliver a login feature. I guess I could doa  promitive one just for now but ...

Thank you

John

It's already integrated with NT6. Indeed it's integrated with NT5.
See the "Secwin" webinar from November, and also the Secwin docs which have a step-by-step implementation guide.

The wizard does not yet include Secwin - that's on my todo list - but it's not that big a deal to do it "by hand" (horror!)

cheers

Got it!

Trouble is, as a newcomer to the WebServer stuff (had NT for ever) I just ran the Web Server Wizard. Being as Secwin did not appear I assumed it was not integrated.

The wizard actually prevents you from thinking <g>

Glad you got it worked out John.  I tried out the SecWin stuff in a NetTalk web app but, as of now, I'm not using it in anything. (yet..)

Hi John,

It is already compatible. It just isn't part of the new NT6 wizard so you would need to manually add. Check out the secwin webinar from a couple of weeks ago.
