Title: Update of web folder required
Post by: John Fligg on November 28, 2011, 04:43:09 PM
I am getting Update of Web Folder required - Server version = 6.02 but web folder = 6.03 but I have installed and compiled under 6.05

I have run gzipall.bat and copyall.bat and even deleted the app, regenerated using the wizard having deleted the web folder etc. but cannot get rid of this message when I run the app. This is all on my local machine.

What am I missing please? Is this down to the wizard?

John

You need to refresh/reload your browsers web cache. Cntl F5 I think works on most browsers. I think the prob is the browser and not the underlying files.

John,

Hi there.

Might be an idea to try the server in a couple of different browsers, just to make sure.

Like Kevin says, <CTRL>F5 is the first port of call.

Thanks all. However it still persists in all Browsers. Incidentally this is on my local machine and not on the server just yet.

I don't know if I've got this right - under "normal" circumstances the Server should have a higher number than the webfolder? Then Ctrl-F% fixes that - except that now this is done for uou automtically.

Haave recreated the app using 6.06 and the issue has now gone away. However I have notice sometimes on the server that when you first open the application there is a quick error message appears then disappears now. But nothing to write home about. So far as I am concerned it is fixed.
