I've recently upgraded from 5.30 to 5.34, and now up to 5.36 and I've noticed that my buttons (Save, Login, Logout, etc.) have stopped working since I updated my web folder. I can click on them, but nothing happens.
If I put my old web folder back version 5.30, whilst I get the normal warning, asking me to update my web folder, my buttons all work again.
Have I missed something in these latest releases?
Regards,
Neil.

Hi Neil,
Yes, this must be a bug in 5.36.
I have also found the following issues with 5.36:
I have a Browse with a Form.
The Form isn't loading anymore when using the Insert/Change/Copy/View
buttons.
It is ONLY loading when the option is ON at: "Open as popup".
I have a Form with a Lookup button.
The Lookup (browse) isn't loading anymore when using the Lookup button.
It is ONLY loading when the option is ON at: "Popup Lookup".
So only POPUP Forms and POPUP Lookups are loading.
And when I press the Save button on a POPUP Form, nothing happens!
Can you confirm this also?
I have sent Bruce an email with some examples.
Hope he has a Quick Fix!
Best regards
Jeffrey

Same here.

Same this side.
But it only seems to affect IE.
Firefox works.

Hi Johan,
Using Firefox (still version 3.x) here, I have these issues.
See my message above with the issues I detected with NT 5.36 under Firefox.
I don't have these issues with version 5.34.
BTW: On my iPad2, running under Safari, no issues at all. :)
Best regards

I'm on the road, and my laptop is primed with NetTalk 6 (so not that easy for me to duplicate here) however if anyone has a live site with this issue I'd like to test "online".
Also please let me know if pressing F5 on your browser address bar makes any difference.
Cheers

Hi Bruce,
I just sent you a private message (here in NetTalk Central) with a link.
Pressing F5 doesn't work.

Have this happening with the Login page, where SOME Users click the Login button and nothing happens.
Clicking F5 and <CTRL>F5 does not solve the problem. Also, clearing the history doesn't solve the problem.
I'm wondering if there's a javascript issue, not sure, have to do more research, will know more soon.
-
Just to be clear, this is happening when using Firefox (not sure if it's the latest version, but it is the latest point version) for SOME Users (only a small number so far). I cannot replicate the issue at this time.

Update:
** The two instances (so far) have been because the user was running Firefox 3 (so I was wrong in my initial diagnosis).

Hi Stu,
I tested several pc's with:
- Firefox 3.6.13 = no-go in NT 5.36
- Firefox 3.6.22 = no-go in NT 5.36
- Internet Explorer 8 = no-go in NT 5.36
No problems on my iPad2 with Safari.
With NT 5.34 no problems at all.
Best regards

Jeffrey,
Thanks for the info.
I've got Nettalk 5.36. So it might not be that?

Ha ha. That'll learn me for skim-reading.
Apologies!

Hallo,
I had no problem with any version from 5.30 - 5.36
I have no problem at all and tested with latest version of Firefox, Chrome and Safari. (don't use IE)

When I use the 5.34 web folder with my NT 5.36 app, everything is ok, but then you get a warning:
Server is on version 5.36 but web folder is on version 5.34
When using the 5.36 web folder with my NT 5.36 app, then problems as described above!

This is very strange to me. Last night I saw most of what was described here.
I tried making my look up browses not popups, etc. Which allowed the browse to display, but didn't update the form field.
I also had problems when refreshing. If I hit the refresh button, the page would not be formatted properly. Each time I hit refresh or F5, it would be formatted differently. I left it and came back in this morning and the login button wouldn't work.
Then I rebooted my machine because it was reacting so slowly. Needed coffee anyway.
I hate to say this, but it is now working properly. Login button works, refresh works, popup look-ups work, browse update buttons seem to be working. Go figure. ???
I pressed my luck and unchecked popup on a lookup button so that browse would be displayed as a page. I believe this is still broken since it did not update the field(s) on the form. I switched back to Popup and worked fine.
I'll be doing more testing through today because this HAS to be working before tomorrow afternoon.

I have found a bug in the JavaScript - making a 5.37 build now which "may" be the solution.
