Title: Something strange with charset
Post by: Matthew on April 27, 2011, 03:40:27 AM
Hello

I have problem with charset. I have some string field on form with default validation. When I put them some text with for example polish char like 'ą' or 'ś' and change focus to another field, hole text is changing to strange chars and can't be readable. For example when I put text 'mąkaś' and change field, this text is changing to 'm^ka>'. When I change validation to no, text remains unchanged. Why is so that? I have this problem even I set charset to 'windows-1250' and Store Data As: Polish in advanced settings of web server. Maybe this is some bug.

Regards,
Matthew

set charset to 'utf-8'
and save-data-as either 'utf-8' or 'polish'.

Yes, but if I set charset to utf-8 then I'am loosing polish chars in prompt text or other label on site.

What can I do?

Regards,
Matthew

Set the charset to utf-8, and report any problems after that.
Screen-shots, or better yet, and example is preferable.

cheers
