Hi,

is there any way to position calendar window so it opens besides the calendar lookup button?

Alex, it can be done with Javascript, but it is no trivial task. It's a big enough pain to position the popup where you want it, but it's as big of pain to figure out some code to determine where the field is on the page. Add to that different browsers, and it's a mess. I've thought about it, tried a few things, but been content to put it dead center in the window.

willing to share your wisdom on this? Which script should I change to put it in the center of the screen? I was trying whole bunch of things with calendar2.js and calendar6.js today but with no luck, as if I'm not doing anything.

Wisdom, or code?<g> I think I can scrounge up some code I use, but it's on another machine. I'll try to find it and upload.

Hi Alex,

don't spend too much time on this. I've implemented the jQuery calendar in NetTalk 5 so the old lookup will be deprecated. The new one has a gazillion features but it's also "part" of the actual page so rather than opening another "window" the calendar pops up exactly where you want it.

I've also coded it so it supports _all_ the Clarion date pictures (@D1 through @D16). So there's a lot more freedom with the new popup. You can also limit the lookup to a specific date range - and lots of other things. It's _very_ cool (even if all it is is a date lookup.)

Now, seriously. Do you have any target date for 5 roughly? Cause we are in the middle of one project so it helps to know if the waiting will be an option.

At this stage it looks like the upgrade will be $299 - although that's not cast in stone yet.

The only dependency for PHP is OddJob

That's already available and currently on special for $59.
