We have 700 clients who can send large (100 - 400+mb) data sets as a backup service.
We're currently using NetTalk and have FTPS (FTP over SSL) with Explicit mode in place but our IT vp is pressing hard to find a solution that uses SFTP (FTP or SSH). He's even gone so far as to start doing his own research and found the following: https://winscp.net/eng/docs/library (sigh...)
Frankly, I don't really want to learn another language right now.
Does anyone have any insight or suggestions that I should consider?

Very occasionally we've used Stunnel to create an SSH connection over which any "plain" program can then run.
I'm not sure why the preference for SSH over SSL - that might be worth investigating.
cheers
