Self Service Manual Confusion
« on: August 08, 2017, 08:46:13 PM »
Hi Bruce,

Although I have Self Service running successfully from Windows 10 I am confused about the statement
in the Self Service documentation...
Page 23
"What  operating systems can I run services on?"
Answer .....run on Windows 9x, but  just not as a service"
(but page 2 says...'Windows Vista and better" ?
Does that apply to Windows 10 ? and if is does, what does it actually mean?
as my app auto starts OK  in Windows 10 on reboot,  but its not showing in the Windows services list
Thanks
Richard

In that context Windows 9x means Windows 95, 98 ME that sort of thing.
(that can probably be removed from the docs now <g>)

It runs fun on all Windows since XP, so there are no issues there.

what are you using to "see" the services list? I'd recommend Services.msc which is the Windows service manager.

cheers
