Web Server - Ask For Help / Re: Some fields are squashed - screenshots attached

Yes Don I agree it must be browser related - and it looks like it only happens with lookup fields. The users involved are extremely non-computer-literate -she wasn't sure about the name of the browser she uses - she just said "it's the Google one"

They are using Chrome - I'll check which version. But I think Chrome auto-updates itself whenever there's a new version?

One of my customers is getting a strange effect where the first 3 fields on a form are squashed up but the rest are OK. I can't get it to happen and no other customer is reporting it.
One screenshot shows the squashing and the other shows how it should be. I can't see anything in the form CSS that would explain it. C10 and NT10.36
Anyone else seen this?

Web Server - Ask For Help / Re: Disappearing or changed user input - Concurrency checking and logging
« on: October 30, 2018, 12:52:46 AM »
Thanks for the ideas Bill but the Observation Form needs to be seen by everyone in its entirety, and then when they agree with it they digitally sign it. But I'll look into what can be done in compartmentalising edit permission based on access level.

Thanks for that Casey - its a neat idea
I need this because the central form of the app is contributed to by different levels of staff in the school - teachers, observers, line managers, subcontractors etc. So there is a fair amount of "concurrency risk". And of course it would be one of the management team who "lost" her data.
They are coming up to their annual renewal so I need to calm the horses with something soon. I was thinking that a quick fix solution might be to display a message to other users when someone has already opened the record in edit mode.
Or force subsequent would-be editors into view only mode until the initial editor has finished. That would avoid rejecting any edits.

Web Server - Ask For Help / Re: Multi-site problem with DLL procedures in 10.35
« on: October 06, 2018, 04:39:10 AM »
Good news is it's working now - bad news is I don't know why! Just compiled it again this morning and site1.dll is opening OK.
All I need to sort out is why the theme is not being applied.
Thanks all for your help.

The difficulty is that the multi-site host is working OK and calling site2 no problem, but when it gets to the site1.dll it never gets beyond the first procedure in site1. There is no GPF and the URL bar shows it has called the correct next proc - I'll put together an example over the weekend. As an exe site1.exe works fine. It's almost as if the mobile hide option is coming into play on a desktop.

Web Server - Ask For Help / Multi-site problem with DLL procedures in 10.35
« on: October 02, 2018, 11:25:09 AM »
I'm using NT 10.35 and when I compile the demo site1 app as an EXE all procedures work correctly. When I compile as a DLL the main browse shows but the update form never shows.
The browser bar shows the name of the form so it seems to be being called but its "hidden". I have checked the Name() is on Webserver and Webhandler and that the project is for a DLL.
I created my own site1 app and it was the same problem.
Any help appreciated
Mike

No custom options are being set.
As a quick workaround would this work?
1) I wizard up a basic web server app in NT10 using my DCT
2) I export all my procedures from the NT9 app to a TXA
3) Import the TXA into the NT10 app from 1)
Can you see any gotchas in that process?
thanks

After I upgraded to NT10 each date field has appeared with 2 datepicker buttons - one with the old NT9 icon and another right next to it with the NT10 '...'
Both work but how do I remove one of them?
TIA

Web Server - Ask For Help / Re: Popup Date Calendars not working in NT9.31 app
« on: October 04, 2017, 01:36:07 AM »
same problem unfortunately - the first calendar I click on works OK (wherever in the app it is) and no subsequent popup calendar buttons will respond. This is just if the form is itself a popup.
I tried firebug but couldn't see any error msgs there.
I could email you login details to the app if that would help?
