Web Server - Ask For Help / Lets Encrypt Slow Propagation?
« on: November 22, 2019, 12:14:58 AM »
Anybody else experiencing a slow down in getting TLS accessibility for a site?
I have been waiting for a week for site - I'm using NT 11.25 and the multi-site host (also compiled with 11.25) and I saw a week ago that the host had got a cert for this new domain (there are 13 sites on this host) but whne I try and get to the site I get the browser message "Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead".
If I make an Exception I can get to the site so the Clarion side of things is running OK.
Help! I'm stuck
Mike

Found the answer to this one - its a bit obscure but somebody else *might* get the same issue.
My "home page" is a static HTML with Welcome msg, links to training videos etc. In this HTML was some inline CSS which was affecting the menu display.
I removed the Mso.....css from the static HTML and problem solved

I can't find what css file it's in. It can't be browser related because it appears in all 3 main browsers.
I'll let you know when I make this version live on my server so you can see it for yourself.
At the moment I'm trying to overwrite it with custom css.
thanks
Mike

it was just a closing div not found msg. The surplus > after "nt-noprint nt-small-menu" looks like the problem.
I found where the menu items underline is coming from -
a:visited, span.MsoHyperlinkFollowed {
mso-style-noshow: yes;
mso-style-priority: 99;
color: purple;
text-decoration: underline;
text-underline: single;
}
Is MsoHyperlinkFollowed from MS Office???
I attach a screenshot of the CSS for the menu buttons

I'm getting an HTML error in the F12 inspector
<nav id="menu_div" class=" nt-menu-div ui-corner-br"><div id="menu_burger" class="nt-noprint nt-small-menu"></div>
Is the div for the menu burger in the wrong place?

Web Server - Ask For Help / NT11 doubledrop menu display
« on: July 13, 2019, 10:50:32 AM »
Just upgraded an app to NT11 (using C10) and the double drop menu display has changed - please see attachment.
Have I missed out some CSS or is this the way the menu looks now with jQueryUI 1.12.1?
Mike
(using NT11.15)

Web Server - Ask For Help / Anybody interested in a backup tool for NT web server apps?
« on: February 19, 2019, 02:47:04 AM »
I've written a tool for my own use which backs up the data files for each folder of a multi-site host and I'm just curious if anyone else could use this?
If so, I would clean it up and put it into a template - everything's hard coded right now. Price would probably be $195.
What it does:
1) Every day at a time you set, it cycles through the sites and checks the user file to see if anyone has logged on that day.
2) If there has been some activity it does a temp backup to 2 folders
3) One folder contains all native data files - eg .TPS etc
4) The other folder contains the data files converted to CSV
5) Both folders are then zipped up and emailed to me
6) If the customer has requested daily backups they get just the CSV backup zip. This option has been a useful marketing point - users don't feel locked into a system when they can get all their data whenever they want.

Web Server - Ask For Help / Re: multi-site host - how to unload just one DLL?
« on: November 08, 2018, 04:52:17 AM »One idea I had played around with was havine two identicle multi site host folders.
Interesting idea - I might have a play with it when I get "some time". But I suspect that inbetween starting the 2nd and stopping the 1st some users could get the chop

Customer tells me that fixed the problem

Thanks Bruce, I'll turn save state back on. I was a bit concerned that it was allowing someone to click "Back" on a logged out window and get back into the app. But that's probably just me not understanding what's happening

I tried checking the inactive checkbox but I still couldn't delete that site's DLL. Is it possible to unload one specified site DLL?

« on: November 07, 2018, 07:13:57 AM »what browser is the client using? (and what version?)
It's Chrome version 70.0.3538.77 - looks like the issue is limited to picklist fields.
