Hi Bruce,

In NT 8.28 in the jquery.nt-signature.js file, there is a typo on line 9 that is creating a javascript error.  div ID: needs to be divID:

Thanks
Debra

Web Server - Ask For Help / Signature - value is not the normal format
« on: September 29, 2014, 07:06:15 PM »
I am not sure when this started, but my signature values are not the same format as what the sigToImage procedure is expecting.
The value that is being written looks like this
Code: [Select]
[{"lx":11,"ly":58,"mx":11,"my":57},{"lx":11,"ly":55,"mx":11,"my":58},{"lx":12,"ly":52,"mx":11,"my":55},{"lx":15,"ly":46,"mx":12,"my":52},{"lx":20,"ly":40,"mx":15,"my":46},{"lx":24,"ly":35,"mx":20,"my":40},{"lx":32,"ly":30,"mx":24,"my":35},{"lx":38,"ly":27,"mx":32,"my":30},{"lx":47,"ly":22,"mx":38,"my":27},{"lx":55,"ly":21,"mx":47,"my":22},{"lx":63,"ly":19,"mx":55,"my":21},{"lx":70,"ly":19,"mx":63,"my":19},{"lx":72,"ly":19,"mx":70,"my":19},{"lx":77,"ly":22,"mx":72,"my":19},{"lx":83,"ly":28,"mx":77,"my":22},{"lx":89,"ly":36,"mx":83,"my":28},{"lx":93,"ly":46,"mx":89,"my":36},{"lx":97,"ly":56,"mx":93,"my":46},{"lx":103,"ly":66,"mx":97,"my":56},{"lx":107,"ly":76,"mx":103,"my":66},{"lx":110,"ly":85,"mx":107,"my":76},{"lx":114,"ly":94,"mx":110,"my":85},{"lx":115,"ly":99,"mx":114,"my":94},{"lx":116,"ly":99,"mx":115,"my":99},{"lx":117,"ly":99,"mx":116,"my":99},{"lx":120,"ly":101,"mx":117,"my":99},{"lx":126,"ly":101,"mx":120,"my":101},{"lx":133,"ly":101,"mx":126,"my":101},{"lx":149,"ly":99,"mx":133,"my":101},{"lx":162,"ly":98,"mx":149,"my":99},{"lx":178,"ly":93,"mx":162,"my":98},{"lx":192,"ly":88,"mx":178,"my":93},{"lx":206,"ly":80,"mx":192,"my":88},{"lx":214,"ly":72,"mx":206,"my":80},{"lx":220,"ly":63,"mx":214,"my":72},{"lx":224,"ly":53,"mx":220,"my":63},{"lx":224,"ly":45,"mx":224,"my":53},{"lx":223,"ly":36,"mx":224,"my":45},{"lx":222,"ly":31,"mx":223,"my":36},{"lx":222,"ly":28,"mx":222,"my":31},{"lx":220,"ly":25,"mx":222,"my":28},{"lx":217,"ly":17,"mx":220,"my":25},{"lx":216,"ly":10,"mx":217,"my":17},{"lx":214,"ly":8,"mx":216,"my":10},{"lx":213,"ly":5,"mx":214,"my":8},{"lx":215,"ly":5,"mx":213,"my":5},{"lx":219,"ly":6,"mx":215,"my":5},{"lx":225,"ly":9,"mx":219,"my":6},{"lx":231,"ly":12,"mx":225,"my":9},{"lx":241,"ly":15,"mx":231,"my":12},{"lx":245,"ly":18,"mx":241,"my":15},{"lx":248,"ly":19,"mx":245,"my":18},{"lx":249,"ly":20,"mx":248,"my":19},{"lx":251,"ly":22,"mx":249,"my":20},{"lx":254,"ly":26,"mx":251,"my":22},{"lx":258,"ly":33,"mx":254,"my":26},{"lx":261,"ly":39,"mx":258,"my":33},{"lx":268,"ly":51,"mx":261,"my":39},{"lx":272,"ly":62,"mx":268,"my":51},{"lx":274,"ly":65,"mx":272,"my":62},{"lx":274,"ly":68,"mx":274,"my":65},{"lx":276,"ly":68,"mx":274,"my":68},{"lx":276,"ly":70,"mx":276,"my":68},{"lx":276,"ly":72,"mx":276,"my":70},{"lx":276,"ly":73,"mx":276,"my":72},{"lx":275,"ly":75,"mx":276,"my":73},{"lx":272,"ly":76,"mx":275,"my":75},{"lx":263,"ly":77,"mx":272,"my":76},{"lx":256,"ly":78,"mx":263,"my":77},{"lx":247,"ly":79,"mx":256,"my":78},{"lx":235,"ly":80,"mx":247,"my":79},{"lx":217,"ly":80,"mx":235,"my":80},{"lx":198,"ly":80,"mx":217,"my":80},{"lx":177,"ly":80,"mx":198,"my":80},{"lx":156,"ly":78,"mx":177,"my":80},{"lx":134,"ly":73,"mx":156,"my":78},{"lx":116,"ly":69,"mx":134,"my":73},{"lx":93,"ly":62,"mx":116,"my":69},{"lx":76,"ly":55,"mx":93,"my":62},{"lx":63,"ly":48,"mx":76,"my":55},{"lx":53,"ly":42,"mx":63,"my":48},{"lx":44,"ly":35,"mx":53,"my":42},{"lx":40,"ly":30,"mx":44,"my":35},{"lx":36,"ly":25,"mx":40,"my":30},{"lx":33,"ly":19,"mx":36,"my":25},{"lx":30,"ly":16,"mx":33,"my":19},{"lx":28,"ly":14,"mx":30,"my":16},{"lx":28,"ly":13,"mx":28,"my":14},{"lx":27,"ly":13,"mx":28,"my":13}]
So the normal format of Z and Y is not there

I have attached an example.  The example app that ships with netTalk seems to work fine, so I am not sure what the issue is with my apps.
My env.
C8 9759
NT 8.27
Draw 3.50
StringTheory 2.09

Thanks,
Debra

Web Server - Ask For Help / Odd issue in NT8.26
« on: September 24, 2014, 12:20:10 PM »
Hi Bruce,

An odd thing is happening in 8.26.  I went from 8.24 to 8.26, and 8.26 is having a threading issue.
I started the server at 10:05am, at about 11:30am I noticed the memory was running about twice what it normally does, but it was still serving the pages out fine.  Looked at the threads, and the thread count was not going below 7 on the Performance tab.  Normally in a case like this it stops serving out the pages, but it was running fine.
But by 12:55pm the server memory tapped out at 2059 mb and the server closed down but did not write a gpf report.
I have attached some screen shots, 2 are of the server itself, and the other is from my monitoring app.

Web Server - Ask For Help / Re: WebService - SoapAction issue
« on: August 21, 2014, 07:36:37 AM »
Changing the code to be the following worked
Code: [Select]
  if Right(self.ShortSOAPAction,1) = '"'
    self.ShortSOAPAction = sub(self.ShortSOAPAction,1,len(clip(self.ShortSOAPAction))-1)
  END

Web Server - Ask For Help / WebService - SoapAction issue
« on: August 20, 2014, 05:04:37 PM »
Hi Bruce
I have a client that is passing the soap request like the following, this pulls back the actual page for mySystem, so it is not executing the SOAPAction.  I did some testing using this command and the netDemo example, if I remove the " from around the URL in the soap action everything works fine.  How can I make my server accept this request as the client sends it?

Code: [Select]
POST /mySystem HTTP/1.1
Content-Length: 376
Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8
Accept:  */*
Host: 10.211.55.4:88
User-Agent: PC SOFT Framework
Connection: close
SOAPAction: "http://10.211.55.4:88/mySystem/Date"

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"><SOAP-ENV:Header/><SOAP-ENV:Body><ns1:Date xmlns:ns1="mySystem"/></SOAP-ENV:Body></SOAP-ENV:Envelope>

Found the issue, if you set Compress Dynamic Content to false it does not send the header as outlined in my last post.
Web77 with this setting is attached.

The output from NT 8.23 is
Code: [Select]
[4676] [st] [netTalk][thread=3] parsed header, BrowserTabId=

This is the results from 8.21, no code changes on my part, just re-installed NT 8.21, looks like the header is not being sent on 8.23

Hi Bruce

In had an issue a while back connecting a NTWS webservice method to a WinDev Mobile client http://www.nettalkcentral.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=36&topic=5749.0

When I turned off the compression the issue went away, but when I upgraded to 8.23 I have an issue again

I have the following requests coming into the server
Code: [Select]
POST /GetDriverAuthCode HTTP/1.1
User-Agent: PC SOFT Framework
Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded
Host: 192.168.1.105:86
Connection: Keep-Alive
Accept-Encoding: gzip
Content-Length: 25
Code: [Select]
POST /GetDriverAuthCode HTTP/1.1
User-Agent: PC SOFT Framework
Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded
Host: 192.168.1.105:86
Connection: Keep-Alive
Accept-Encoding: gzip
Content-Length: 25

Login=driver&Password=ggg

From this I should get an error response saying that the credentials are bad.

But instead I am getting nothing, not even a header.

attached is a screenshot from the device with the attempt to show the results.  First line is just the true\false for if the request was successfully made.  The 2nd and 3rd are the header and response... but they are blank
My requests coming into the server from 8.21 and 8.23 look the same, but the outcome is different.

Any ideas on what I  need to do differently either in my server or in my request headers?

Thanks
Debra

Thanks Terry, that did the trick

I need to switch from insert from insert mode to change mode in a form when the user performs a specific action... writing the record to disk, like a pre-save.
What is the best method to accomplish this?

Thanks
Debra

Web Server - Ask For Help / Re: WebService Content Length Error
« on: July 17, 2014, 06:34:51 AM »
I did end up having to turn off the compression for dynamic data.  I am using a WinDev Mobile client, and it could not process the compressed  result.

Just FYI for anyone using web services, if you are having issues getting the data returned in the client, but you know the data is being sent... try turning off the compression.

I have this same issue with one app, but not another one, but neither one have additional fields, just user name, PW, and remember me.
I have not figured out why one has the issue and the other does not.

Perfect, thank you!
