Web Server - Ask For Help / Signature - value is not the normal format

I am not sure when this started, but my signature values are not the same format as what the sigToImage procedure is expecting.
The value that is being written looks like this

So the normal format of Z and Y is not there

I have attached an example.  The example app that ships with netTalk seems to work fine, so I am not sure what the issue is with my apps.

Web Server - Ask For Help / Odd issue in NT8.26

Hi Bruce,

An odd thing is happening in 8.26.  I went from 8.24 to 8.26, and 8.26 is having a threading issue. 
I started the server at 10:05am, at about 11:30am I noticed the memory was running about twice what it normally does, but it was still serving the pages out fine.  Looked at the threads, and the thread count was not going below 7 on the Performance tab.  Normally in a case like this it stops serving out the pages, but it was running fine.
But by 12:55pm the server memory tapped out at 2059 mb and the server closed down but did not write a gpf report.
I have attached some screen shots, 2 are of the server itself, and the other is from my monitoring app.

Web Server - Ask For Help / WebService - SoapAction issue

Hi Bruce
I have a client that is passing the soap request like the following, this pulls back the actual page for mySystem, so it is not executing the SOAPAction.  I did some testing using this command and the netDemo example, if I remove the " from around the URL in the soap action everything works fine.  How can I make my server accept this request as the client sends it?

Web Server - Ask For Help / WebService NT 8.23 change in behavior from 8.21

Hi Bruce

In had an issue a while back connecting a NTWS webservice method to a WinDev Mobile client http://www.nettalkcentral.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=36&topic=5749.0

 When I turned off the compression the issue went away, but when I upgraded to 8.23 I have an issue again

I have the following requests coming into the server

From this I should get an error response saying that the credentials are bad.

But instead I am getting nothing, not even a header.

attached is a screenshot from the device with the attempt to show the results.  First line is just the true\false for if the request was successfully made.  The 2nd and 3rd are the header and response... but they are blank
My requests coming into the server from 8.21 and 8.23 look the same, but the outcome is different.

Any ideas on what I  need to do differently either in my server or in my request headers?

Web Server - Ask For Help / Change from Insert Mode to Change Mode in a form

I need to switch from insert from insert mode to change mode in a form when the user performs a specific action... writing the record to disk, like a pre-save.
What is the best method to accomplish this?

Web Server - Ask For Help / WebService - Access to XML.AssignField procedure

I have a web service that returns a view.  In my view is a date, I would like to format this date before it is sent.  I do not seem to have access to the xml.AssignField procedure to do this though.  Any way I can do this?

Web Server - Ask For Help / How to allow file upload in an NT8 Webservice

Hi All,

How can I upload a picture or file to a WebServiceMethod?  Ideally I would like to be able to upload more than one file at a time, but not required. 

It does not have to be done via a WebServiceMethod, but I am a little confused by this post http://www.nettalkcentral.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=36&topic=5150.0
The part that confuses me is using the web page, so do I create by own form in a routine? And if so how do I access the values and file upload from the form?

Web Server - Ask For Help / WebService Content Length Error

Hi Bruce

In NT 8.17, I have a webservice that returns a view.  If I have more than 2 records that return my Content Length is wrong in my header.  Here is an example of what I mean, the below XML is 1769 characters long, the content length in the header says its 491.  

This does not seem to be data specific, it appears I can use any combination of records, so long as it is less than 3.  If I have 1 or 2 records the content length is correct.

What support for json parsing does NetTalk (or any other utility) have?   I need reading of json more than writing...  here is an example of some data that I need to parse

Web Server - Ask For Help / Compile Errors when creating new controls NT 8.11

Hi All
When I create a new control in a page using NT 8.11 I am getting compile errors.  Here is an example of the code that it is failing on.  How do I resolve " = p_web.MakeWebRelative()"?  Attached is the clw

Web Server - Share Knowledge / oAuth v1 - Connecting to QuickBooks Online example

Hi All,
For my application to connect to QuickBooks Online I needed oAuth v1 capabilities in my app.  Figuring this out has had me pulling my hair out.  The documentation for oAuth is pretty complicated and not real clear on several points.  

So to save someone else that frustration, attached is an example app for connecting to QuickBooks Online using oAuth v1.  I have another project coming that will use oAuth v2 so when I get that done I will share an example as well.  

FYI, the following is required for this example

• NT 8.11 (used for a new flag of net:php in the encryptWebString)
• xFiles
• Cryptonite

NOTE: You have to be signed in to download the file.

Hi Bruce,

Is there a function that will perform Percent Encoding?  The p_web.EncodeWebString is a little to agressive, percent encoding is like the PHP function rawurlencode https://php.net/manual/en/function.rawurlencode.php

Hello,

I am trying to setup an oAuth Request Token procedure.   It is v1 so it requires the unix\epoch time, which is the same thing as the javascript code like this

Does NT have a way for me to get this value from server side code?
