Do you mean the new Building Web Applications with NetTalk  PDF from Bruce?
Very nice compilation and rework of the NetTalk Webserver docs. A great improvement. Good template walk through with explanations. I haven't had a chance to read it through, but have been using it as a reference as needed.

I'm not sure, Chris. I follow the RSS feel from Capesoft, and it popped up for the first time.

Hi Mike,

The book is part of the recordings we made at the Denver webshop. See
https://www.clarionshop.com/ViewProductForCustomer?Change_btn=Change&SPro__RecordID=1330 (https://www.clarionshop.com/ViewProductForCustomer?Change_btn=Change&SPro__RecordID=1330)

Geoff has made it a separate product for now because it will be updated from time to time, and those that attended the webshop, or have purchased the recordings, are entitled to the next few updates until it's "completed" for now.

Chris describes it as a "reworking of the docs" - I'm not sure that's entirely how I would describe it. Rather it approaches the subject from a "learning", task-based, point of view rather than a purely technical point for view.

Cheers
Bruce

Hi Bruce.
Does this book includes  the e-commerce or web store development? Kind of clarionshop explored and explained? Thanks
Jorge

Hi,

I posess a copy and I can recommend it to everyone who wants a clear overview of what can be done with NTWS.
At first it was presented as the work-through book during the web-shop.
I actually read it for fun and find new things in it every time I  go through it.
It's a lot of money but not expensive at all.

Hi Jorge,

Analyzing an application like ClarionShop is really not terribly exciting. At it's heart ClarionShop is really just a bunch of browses and forms. Especially the "public" part of ClarionShop.

Rather the training focused on various aspects of Browses and Forms - plus a whole bunch of other things as well. While I don't cover ClarionShop specifically, by the end of the training you should find an app like ClarionShop quite straight-forward to do.

the hardest part of ClarionShop is not in the ClarionShop exe itself - it's the credit card processing engine, and that's handled by a separate program. (It doesn't have to be a separate program, that's just how it turned out.) It uses the WebClient class.

Cheers
