Hi All: I need to setup a webserver to serve static pages for a website that will be hosted on a local computer. The goal is to convert this into a live NTWS site, but just don't have enough time to get it done right now. Since this is the first time I've used NTWS for a website (vs. web app), I want to make sure I get this right. Please bear with my ignorance.
1. When I edit the DNS settings with the company that is hosting the domain, I only need to enter the static IP for the local server -- is that correct?
2. If I were to use Capesoft's Email Server, I wouldn't need to have the MX settings registered with the domain host? (Sorry, I don't understand this.)
3. Are there special precautions I need to make? Again, this is all static for now.
Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim,
I'm gonna be answering another question on Hosting tomorrow on the webinar, which is related to your question, so perhaps come to that
(https://www3.gotomeeting.com/register/870091054) and we can cover your question at the same time as Bill's.
cheers

Thanks Bruce. I'll try to be there. Hopefully my schedule will cooperate.

Hi Bruce: I was able to attend the webinar, but only in spurts. Kept getting called away. I'm thinking that my question was probably answered in a section that I missed. How long does it usually take before the recording is available on the website?
Thanks.

I knew there was some related topic, but I couldn't remember exactly what it was. I think best if you ask this Thursday so we make sure I answer you directly.
>> How long does it usually take before the recording is available on the website?
It varies, but in this case it was up the next day.

Thanks Bruce. I was looking at the ClarionLive page. My mistake. Will try to attend on Thurs.
