In NT6 the locator only appears if you sort the browse on some column.
In NT8 its allways there even if the brose has no records.
-
depends on the locator type, and the other locator settings.

Have a memory form with drop filter and browse.
Locator appears before select drop filter, also if "no locators" is selected.
See attached window server top list information.
Thanks

Found that error occurs if not select any browse field as "default sort order". I use browse "sort" tab to order by field that is not in browse.
Is there a way to hide the locator of the default sort column?
Thanks
Manuel

INstalling and testing with 8.03
No way to do it.
Locator is allways there even if no records in the browse.
-
OK, it can be easily reproduce with ex 3 on 8.03
Open app, Open AliasBrowseControl
Set it to page loaded, set the locator type you want
Compile
Loggin
Go to Aliases
1st issue: You can see the Locator withuou been click in any column
Delete all aliases
2nd issue: You can see the Locator withuout any record in the browse, see image
All this issues are OK in NT6

>> 1st issue: You can see the Locator without been click in any column
the ALI:Name field, sort tab, has "this is the default sort order" ticked on. So you don't have to click the column.
>> 2nd issue: You can see the Locator without any record in the browse, see image
fixed in 8.04
