Title: Nettalk 7.31 and multiple instances
Post by: robirenz on March 11, 2014, 03:46:52 PM
I'm using nettalk 7.31 and now I cant have two instances of the same app
where is the workaround?
I've renamed the exe file and still won't load the same app.  magic???  I need magic gone since I do want 4 instances of the same app on the same machine but with diffent ports for access.

Hi.
If you are using Self Service there is a checkbox on the SelfService Global extension on the options tab. You should uncheck Only allow one instance to run at one time.

yes, that's part of it. Although if you are running 4 instances as services then they will need a different "service name" and description when registering the service.

If it's not self-service that's limiting the instances, then it's something else along the same lines, like RunOnce or BeginUnique or something like that. NetTalk doesn't have any instance limitation built-in.

cheers

yup. it was selfservice, found out last night after looking in all of the global templates, I'm not really installing it as a service, so just turned it off this time.
