Title: Validate Entry When Accepted

NetTalk 4.30 (I know...customer's project)

I need to run some validation code when an entry field is accepted.  For some reason I cannot get the code to fire.  I have checked the "Send new value to server" checkbox on the Client tab.

Basically, I want to check the value entered against existing records to see if that value already exists.

Hi Don,

check the "Auto Validation" setting, on the advanced tab (I think).
If that is set to "no" then try setting that to default.

No such setting for me.  Is this a feature added after version 4.30?  I cannot find it at all.

Ah - well,
yes - introduced in 4.31, as was immediate validation.
In other words the feature you're looking for simply doesn't exist in that version.

Ahhh...thanks Bruce.  Simple fix.  Customer needs to update.
