I completely agree. I never said you would. I said
a) put index.html in the web folder.
b) set the "Default Page" setting to be 'index.html'

exactly. You're not exactly the first person to come up with this approach. Crumbs, even www.capesoft.com does this. If you do the two steps above then it works.
