Theres no way to use Other buttons directly from the template.
If you add parameters to the url, the template routines make bad javascript or xhtl code and the browse will never refresh again.
If you need to, by example, add a parameter to the URL or you need to call a related file to change.
The only way it works is:
-add an Other button to Change, etc
-omit the template code, copy it and add the parameter to the template code.
May be its a good idea to add
-ID to pass to change entry (if you need to change a related record)
-Parameters entry
-Hide it on selecting
