E-Mail - Ask For Help / Re: Nettalk sending email SMTP error in RDP
« on: July 04, 2019, 11:46:55 AM »
Hi Bruce,

Stop thinking! Well  about this i mean.

We found out that the RDP users where it was working all started from the same map with the program in it.
Normally each RDP user has his own map for the program.
We just copied and pasted the program from the working map to the other maps and it worked in all of them now.
Maybe there was some dll missmatch.

Thanks for thinking with me!

Greetings,
Rob

They are different users, each machine has his own log in.

When we log in (on the problem machine) with a user from another machine, it works also fine on that machine.

Yes, that's right Bruce, so it must be something local i guess.

We've been checking AV and firewall, but that didnt change a thing.

Nettalk 9.31
Clarion 10.0.12799

I have a client using my Clarion app from Remote Desktop (RDP).
They are sending mail by SMTP.
When i take over the RDP it works fine and several others too, but from 1 system, when sending mail by SMTP, i directly get this error:

Error: Unable to Open Connection to smtp02.hostnet.nl:587

Any ideas what could be the problem?

FTP - Ask For Help / time out error
« on: June 17, 2019, 06:13:24 AM »
Hi Bruce,

Just wanted to make use of your knowledge.
We do have a service running (at several places), it checks every x minutes if there are files on the FTP server.
When there are, we get them local, handle them and delete the file on the FTP server.

It works okay, but on one place we sometimes get a time out error:
The connection to the FTP server could not be opened, the open command timed out or failed to connect.
Error number was -53
Command = cwd
Error occured in function: NetSimpe.TakeEvent

Since it's a service that runs all the time now the user needs to press the OK button and then it works fine again for some time.
How can we overrule this message, so it just goes on trying to connect with the FTP server.

Thanks,
Rob

E-Mail - Ask For Help / smtp send Office 365 failure
« on: April 05, 2019, 03:03:58 AM »
Hi im trying to send email through smtp Nettalk 9.31
We tried several settings but all without result.
As i understand these (see below) should work?

smtp.office365.com
port 587
login email and password

startTLS=ON
always SSL=OFF
TLS 1.2

I attached the lastemail.log (by the way had to rename that? for txt, log not supported??)

Any idea what is going wrong.

This is what the send screen displays for error:
Fout: Error in this Message. The remote Email (SMTP) server sent error = 554 5.2.0
STOREDRV.Submission.Exception:SendAsDeniedException.MapiExceptionSendAsDenied;
Failed to process message due to a permanent exception with message
Cannot submit message. 16.55847:C1100000, 17.43559:0000000094000000000000000000000000000000, 20

Thanks in advance!

Rob
