Bruce,

IE-11 works fine.  I was testing on 2 computers.  I thought I was using IE-11 on the other computer, but both have IE-8.

How to detect which browser user is using?

Sukhendu

Bruce,

Attached zip file has app, exe, and dct files.  Note: the file upload works fine in Chrome, but not in IE.

Thanks,
Sukhendu

File upload is failing (see the attached jpg file) in IE-11 as well as in IE-8.  But no problem in Chrome or Firefox.  I'm sure it is to do with some kind of IE setting.  I would appreciate any hint.

Thank you.

« on: November 13, 2014, 01:11:56 PM »
My customer using our web application.  On their web site there is a button, when clicked, our NT web program login page comes up.  The address page shows the static ip address and the port number.  How to mask the ip address and port?

Thank you for your help.

Web Server - Ask For Help / Re: NetWebYear: How to add a close button
« on: November 10, 2014, 10:51:12 AM »
Thanks Bruce,  I was thinking of having a close button on the calendar itself.  But that is not needed now since I added a close button on the form as you suggested.

Web Server - Ask For Help / Sending a message from a report
« on: October 25, 2014, 08:41:01 AM »
How do I send the user a message after a report is successful/unsuccessful? The report is a CPCS report and I have added <NetWebServerWorker p_web> parameter.  Embed point and a small sample code would be great.

The report runs fine on a blank tab.  But I would like to alert the user if there is not data.

Thanks,
Sukhendu

Web Server - Ask For Help / NT8 icon on Page Tab
« on: October 01, 2014, 06:33:41 AM »
I'm seeing NT8 (NT in green color and 8 in black) on the page tab of a browser.  Where is this icon coming from?

Thanks
Sukhendu

Thanks Bruce!   I feel silly for not noticing that check box.

I have created multi-dll app before, but did not encounter the duplicate symbol errors that I could not fix.

1) Created a wizarded webserser app - No problem
2) Created a data dll (export all file on the global file control), export all on stringtheory, winevent, xfiles --- No problem
3) Changed the wizarded main app on step 1 (all files from another app on global file control), stringtheory, winevent, xfiles made part of a multi-dll.  Message box option is un_threaded.
4) Inserted the data dll on the main app and made sure the solution pad shows 2 apps (main app and data app)
5) While compiling main app I'm getting bunch of duplicate symbols on global variables that are defined in the dictionary.

What am I doing wrong!

Thank you for any advice.

Hi Bruce,

"Save as Spanish" did the trick.  Thank you.  As you suggested, will change to ASCII when 8.26 is installed.

Bruce,

I emailed you an example app.  Hope you can reproduce my issues.

Web Server - Ask For Help / IE-11 Issue
« on: August 21, 2014, 10:44:11 AM »
The menu items on a web page is flushed to the left in IE-11 browser (see pic).  But this looks fine in Google Chrome (see pic).  What can I do to resolve the IE-11 browser issue?

Thanks - Sukhendu

Bruce,

You can reproduce this in the BasicBrowseandForm(1) (NetTalk8 c9 example). Try the following:
1) change character set to 'utf-8'  (It is 'ISO-8859-1' in my example set)
2) compile and run
3) edit one user name by adding extended character (alt+248) degree sign.  This will look fine.
4) TpsScan the MAILBOXE.TPS.  You will notice A-hat on that user name.
5) While in TpsScan, edit another user name by adding the same extended character.
6) Now run the web app and check those two user names.

If you cannot reproduce the error, I can send you my example.  I'm using c9-10376 and NT8.24.

Thanks,
Sukhendu
