How to maintain the iage aspect ratio
« on: January 28, 2009, 11:09:38 AM »
Hi,
In a browse with an image you can set the Height and width but how can we maintain the aspect ratio of that image? for example using the height as the mas height and calculating tha width, and viceversa.
And... what does "Image Alt:" means and does?
Thanks
Alberto

Hi Alberto:  Alt Image is the text that shows up if the image won't display (because the server can't find it).

If I understand your other question correctly:  just set the height OR the width and the browser should maintain the aspect ratio accordingly.

HTH,

Jim

Thanks Jim! You understood well, but I tried and setting the height or the width does not keep the ratio.
