I need to print a report automatically without the need for a print preview,
and without creating a visible pdf first.
I want the print to happen on the calling NT app and not on the server.
Currently, the report displays as a PDF which requires a manual print button select on the pdf
The report is like a point of sale credit card customer transaction print.
is there an example ?
or guidance ?
Thanks

Hi Richard,
If you use Chrome try both switches -kiosk and -kiosk-printing.
Its not a silver bullet but it may do what you want.
For clues try:
https://support.vendhq.com/hc/en-us/articles/201378390-Enable-kiosk-printing-for-Google-Chrome-on-Windows
and

Hi Richard,
Imagine if sites could send stuff to your printer just by visiting the web page - without any user intervention.
I'm thinking that would be a very bad thing - and it seems like I'm not alone because your browser isn't able to do that.

Thank you Bruce, and yes I understand your position on this...
....
I want the report to be printed on the printer attached to the remote PC and not on the server
Currently, the report is called only from a valid login
(and its much like a credit card purchase transaction.)
I have the pdf appearing on the remote PC , as a PDF, and it requires yet another button push to print, this time from the pdf preview, again on the remote.
This is what I am trying to eliminate.
Cheers

That's exactly what your browser does not allow you to do.
It's not _my_ position - it's theirs.
If you want it to be different you'll need to chat to the Chrome team.
